so, i'm not much of a journal writer. but i am very particular about recording events in my day planner. last weekend, i found my old calendar from 1999-2000. i was thrilled to see my first outing with carter: king lear at the walton arts center in downtown fayetteville. reading my handwriting, i couldn't help talking to that younger version of myself: you're going to love this friendship! get ready to have a blast with this gentle genius! adventures and good times are on the way... i wonder. what am i scribbling in my calendar these days that will have some significance in a later review...
