Mark attended Clear Creek High School where he wrote for the literary magazine and was in the Symphonic Chorale. He loved musicals and performed in a local theatre and had fun participating in his school musicals, "Oklahoma" and "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying." He enjoyed long summers with his great friends, especially when he got out on the water; he loved sailing. He & his friends had a blast making funny home movies and spoof plays like "Busch Casualty and the Foxtrot Kid" which they filmed around League City and Webster, TX. He was an active member of the UMYF of the League City United Methodist Church where many people still ask about him.
